Inquiry and Engagement

The College of Humanities & Earth and Social Sciences (CHESS) is a champion of meaningful connections by building community, generating knowledge and creating innovations.

CHESS students and faculty:

  • Cultivate curiosity, self-awareness and a strong ethical compass
  • Collaborate to build diverse networks and grow leadership skills
  • Conduct research to solve complex community issues

In addition to the wide variety of events highlighting department activities, which you can find in the Campus Events calendar, the Dean’s Office strives to share its knowledge with the community by supporting Lifelong Learning, Collaborations and Experiences, and events relating to University project grants. There is also a special place in our hearts for Alumni Engagement and Academic Honor Societies.
