Nominate an Alumni

The College is proud to have produced alumni who go on to do big and/or interesting things. It has also been bolstered by many committed individuals, whether they are faculty, staff, alumni, community members, or current students. The Distinguished Leadership Awards recognize individuals who are not only successful, but authoritative and/or respected in their endeavors. They are leaders.

We aim to raise these people up, and to increase awareness of their contributions—even if they are not already well-known. When submitting your nomination, please consider and describe the “Wow Factor.” Nominations remain open during the two-college transition, and nominees will be considered for all alumni awards in 2023-2024 and 2024-2025.

Support of the College (not necessariiy financial!) is a plus. For example, a nominee may be partnering with a College department or may have a long history of mentoring students. We are looking for interesting stories and can’t wait to look forward to hearing what’s happening out there!

If you want us to let you know when the nomination form is ready, please write, chess-alumni@charlotte.edu or cos-alumni@charlotte.edu. There are three questions beyond identifying data, including a place to upload supporting documentation. Nominations are collected year round, but are considered each Fall semester. Submissions become part of our ongoing database and do not need to be resubmitted each year.
