Current Advising Guidelines: 

 

Spring 2022 registration advising starts September 13th, 2021

 

Virtual and In-Person Appointments will be offered throughout the Fall semester.

For new incoming students for Spring 2022, your first advising appointment will take place on your SOAR date.

Transient Study Forms:

If you need to submit a Transient Study form, please email the form to Dr. Brown at bwbrown@uncc.edu.

  • Must be a high-quality scan or a saved PDF (not a photo).
  • Don't worry if you don't have all the departmental signatures on the form. Dr. Brown will contact you if additional info is needed.

  • If you are a current/returning student and do not have an assigned advisor in our office.

LAPTOP REQUIREMENT

As of Fall 2020, new students entering UNC Charlotte will need a personal laptop computer to support their college experience, particularly as classes adapt to include more virtual options. Learn more about the Niner Ready Laptop Initiative here. Make sure to review the recommended hardware specs, which will help ensure your device has the power, speed, and memory you need.

About Us

The Office of Advising & Student Services is the primary provider of academic advising for declared freshmen in the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences. Staffed by five full-time academic advisors, the center also serves as a resource to any UNC Charlotte student, faculty, or staff member with questions regarding advising and the general education requirements.
