February 2019

Congratulations! You have completed the first four weeks of the semester. We hope you have settled into your classes and everything is going well so far. Here are a few tips for you to consider after the early alert period:

Tip #1You can log into CONNECT to read more details if you have received an early alert. Even if you didn’t receive an early alert, we strongly encourage going to class, going to the UCAE, or attending supplemental instruction or other tutoring services for help, if necessary. Meet with professors during their office hours to check on your status in the course. Click here for more details.

Tip #2Snow days may be coming…. maybe? We haven’t had any class cancellations this winter due to inclement weather yet. But if we do, please remember: it is not a total day off. Online classes will still meet and you can always be working on any assigned readings or homework during the day.

Tip #3Pre-registration advising for the Fall 2019 semester has begun. If you have not done so already, make your advising appointment in CONNECT as soon as possible. If you don’t act soon, you may not be able to get an appointment before Fall 2019 registration begins. AND make sure you stay on track for graduation. Follow your degree progress in DegreeWorks.

Tip #4 – Heads-up! Mid-term grade notices will be emailed on March 11th, after Spring Break. There is still time to work towards avoiding an unsatisfactory midterm grade notice.
